I was honestly super shocked when I saw the words Omegaverse in the marketing of this book. I’ve read romance novels with pack dynamics before, but never in this societally integrated way outside of fan fiction. My curiosity prompted my interest in this book and it definitely did not disappoint.
Thank you to Jillian Rink and her team for sending me an advance copy of this book.
I was so grateful for the opportunity to try my very first Why Choose? read. I’ve never really been brave enough to foray into this trope, and while I don’t think it’s for me, it was so fascinating to read what that type of dynamic could be like. I expected there to be a lot more growling and jealousy and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of compassion and understanding all the male main characters exhibited.
A trope that I have always loved that is prominent in this book is the grumpy male main character with a protective streak and a soft, book-loving heart. Jude was all that and more. Paired with sunshine-y Logan and Carter who spoiled her in every way, it was the best of all my favourite character traits in a book boyfriend.
There were some moments with awkward wording that took me out of the story, but not enough to prevent me from finishing this book in less than two days. While this genre wasn’t exactly my cup of tea, it was an incredibly fun read with shocking twists and turns and lots of laughs along the way
Four out of five stars!
