Upcoming Release | Close Knit by Kels & Denise Stone

I loved Daphne’s bubbly sunshine personality and how perfectly it brought out the sharper edges of Cameron’s demeanour in juxtaposition. The leftover tension from their first encounter and the forced close proximity make for a suspenseful romance story that was hard to put down.

Cyberbullying, anxiety, and self-care are significant topics in this book, and I appreciated how masterfully mental health as a theme was tackled with nuance and care. Following Daphne and Cameron through navigating the tabloids, their budding relationship, and their careers was a wild ride and I think the individual character development through each of the dual POVs made the journey so much more valuable.

This book does have a totally unnecessary and predictable third-act breakup, but it was interesting to see how both characters continued developing while apart. I just feel like they also could have done it while together. Overall I enjoyed reading this book and loved delving into Daphne’s world of knitting influencing and the positive impact it had on her community.

Thank you to Valentine PR and Between the Sheets Publishing for sending me an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Four out of five stars.
