After being absolutely obsessed with Wildfire, I didn’t think it was possible for me to love a Hannah Grace book even more but I absolutely adored Daydream and finally getting Henry’s much-anticipated story.
Henry was an absolutely adorable mmc, I loved how straightforward and communicative he was about his feelings. The dates he took Halle on were so adorable, and they had such a heartwarming storybook romance.
Mental health is a huge theme in this book and is dealt with tactfully and with nuance as both Halle and Henry individually evolve on their own journeys. As an eldest daughter, this book healed me and made me feel seen in a way I never thought possible. I loved following Halle on her journey of putting herself first and learning to balance her commitments to her family and her commitments to herself and her future.
I also loved that Russ, Aurora, Nate, and Anastasia play a bigger role in this book because I love getting a snapshot of their established relationships. I appreciated that we got a follow-up on Nate and Stassie navigating long distance and how Aurora and Russ tackled problems together as a team.
I had so much fun reading all the Maple Hills books, and I’m so sad to be saying goodbye to this vibrant world and these lovable characters.
Five out of five stars.
