Since absolutely loving Garrett and Hannah in The Deal, I’ve been trying to get through all of Elle Kennedy’s books, and they never disappoint. I just wish I had gotten around to reading this book sooner because there were moments I was a little confused about side characters or plot lines from the other books I didn’t remember. But that’s just another reason to reread the series!
I loved Sabrina and Tucker’s chemistry and banter. The he falls first trope is one of my faves, and the dual POV made watching Tucker fall head over heels for Sabrina so adorable to read. I loved that he was such a gentleman while also empowering her to be secure and confident in herself. There were so many moments in the story where Tucker had me swooning.
Usually, I’m not a huge fan of the accidental pregnancy trope, but this story handled the nuance of the situation well. It was fascinating to read about how Sabrina’s relationship progressed with her pregnancy and I appreciated how involved Tucker was through the entire process.
Despite how heavy a lot of the story was, there were moments of humour that had me uncontrollably laughing. I loved how Garrett and Logan added levity to the book through their friendship with Tucker and the godfather competition. The found family trope always gives me the warm fuzzies, and I love how well done it is in Elle Kennedy’s books. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Five out of five stars.
