I’m so sad this is the last book in the series. Considering Drive Me Crazy was the first F1 Romance I read, it feels like I’ve come a long way with these characters. It’s been so much fun to dive into the riveting world of motorsports through Carly’s immersive writing and fast-paced storytelling.
Charlotte was such a fun fmc to get to know, and I really identified with her love for fashion. I appreciated her creative perspective and innovation when it came to her race day fits. I loved getting to follow her journey of self-discovery as she grew into her passion for upcycling and reworking new fashion pieces.
As a certified Boston-lover, I feel like the atmosphere of the city was perfectly captured in the moments Lucas and Charlotte spent in his hometown. It cracked me up how the Boston Tea Party became Charlotte’s Roman Empire (though I’m sad she missed out on the Esplanade, which is one of my favourite spots in the city.)
I had so much fun reading this romance. Lucas has so many romantic lines that had me kicking my feet and squealing and I adored how head over heels he was for Charlotte from the beginning. I forgot how much pining and romantic whimsy there is in childhood friends-to-lovers stories, but I loved every deliciously angsty moment.
Thank you to Carly Robyn and her team and ValentinePR for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Five out of five stars!
