I’ve been obsessed with Sabrina Carpenter’s poppy and unapologetically horny music lately. Her songs simply embody summer vibes and good times, and I love the way they always make me wanna dance. These books evoke those same feelings, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy listening to Sabrina Carpenter!
“Nonsense” – Icebreaker by Hannah Grace
With how popular Icebreaker is on BookTok, it’s unsurprising that it has the same vibe as one of Sabrina’s most famous hits. Anastasia and Nate definitely have big “Nonsense” energy with the amount of tom-foolery that was going on between the two of them and in their university friend group. Definitely pick up this book for college shenanigans and lots of innuendos.
“Bed Chem” – Twisted Games by Ana Huang
No couple serves “Bed Chem” quite like Rhys and Bridgette. The tension between them is palpable even at the beginning of the book when Rhys is barely talking to Bridgette, and only grows with their camaraderie throughout the story. The spicy scenes in this book had me blushing more than when “Juno” comes on and my mom’s in the car.
“Looking At Me” – ‘Til Heist Do Us Part by Sarah Desai
Just like Simi, this song is all about taking control and self-empowerment. Simi is leading another elaborate jewel theft in this follow up of To Have and To Heist and she’s trying not to rely on her ex following their break. A fiery character like Simi needs a swoon-worthy man like Jack to keep up with her, and their hot-and-cold relationship was enough whiplash to break my neck.
“Juno” – The Goal by Elle Kennedy
Tucker and Sabrina (yes, I was imagining Sabrina Carpenter the whole time) have the undeniably steamy chemistry Sabrina (the Carpenter) sings about in “Juno.” They make me want to fall in love, just like Sabrina’s songs do. The dual POV perfectly showcases how Tucker falls first and totally head over heels. Check this romance out for gratuitous innuendos, heated banter, and the lovestruck feels of one BAMF baby momma.
“Busy Woman” – Raiders of the Lost Heart by Jo Segura
The past academic rivals-to-lovers will-they-won’t-they drama of this adventure romance embodies Sabrina Carpenter’s contradictory “Busy Woman”! I never knew what would happen between badass archaeologist Corrie and her professional rival Ford, and I adored how she gave him a run for his money on their heart-pounding expedition in the Mexican jungle.
